South Chingford Foundation School

Mathematics

Mathematics at South Chingford Foundation School gives students the tools to think logically, solve problems and communicate ideas with clarity. At Key Stage 3, students follow a spiral curriculum that builds strong foundations, revisiting topics such as algebra, geometry, number and ratio with increasing depth and challenge.

At GCSE, students extend their understanding of higher level concepts and apply mathematical reasoning to real world problems. Lessons encourage fluency, accuracy and resilience as students work towards achieving their best outcomes.

Enrichment opportunities, including Maths Challenge Club and Chess Club, provide stretch, enjoyment and teamwork for our most able learners and help build confidence across all abilities.
