Tennis leaders excel again

Opportunities opportunities opportunities ! thats what we do well!

From learning to be a professional ball boy and girl and working at the World disability tennis wheelchair events, to gaining a young leaders award in tennis to representing  the school at events in the borough to being invited to attend Wimbledon Tennis Championships this year. All a consequence of Rushcroft grabbing opportunities for our students. Invaluable opportunities and thanks to staff who spend time facilitating these.

Year 8 & 9 Sports Leaders officiate at The Olympic Park

After successfully completing their Tennis Leaders Course a couple of months ago thirteen Year 8 & 9 students from Rushcroft were chosen to help run the Borough Primary Mini Tennis Competition held at the Olympic Park Tennis and Hockey Centre last Friday.

The students were responsible for scoring, recording and leading demonstrations throughout the competition. It was a very demanding day but an extremely rewarding experience for all the Sports Leaders and the pupils from 22 Primary Schools in the Borough.

Well done to Lea Bauge Vivien , Tommy May , Hamid Cheema ,Richard Sperger , Mohamed Abdullah , Buri Mohamed , Idrees Qureshi , Irfaan Ali , Jashain Ellis ,Jaida Anderson , Grace Basunda , Yasmin Martins and Megan Robinson.
