Sports and dance leaders  excel yet again

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE YEAR 10 SPORTS LEADERS

Six of our Year 10 Sports Leaders were selected from only two schools in Waltham Forest to attend the London School / Youth Games Spring Finals at Crystal Palace on Wednesday 2nd April '14 . Their day started early with a 7.00 am meeting at Chingford train station. Once they had travelled across London to Crystal Palace Sports Stadium the Sports Leaders were given numerous roles and responsibilities throughout the day. These included directing and taking participants and staff to the various venues scattered across the site, helping to put up banners and advertising hoarding, moving equipment from one area to the other and giving out treats during "Happy Hour " in the afternoon. The feedback from the organisers was particularly glowing about the Sports Leaders, who were incredible ambassadors for the school on the day.
Well done to Shannon Smith, Latisha Osei, Leah Coutts, Ath'enhosi Zihle, Rory Bain and Aaron Davis.

Dance Showcase success for Year 9 Dance Leaders  and Chapel End Infants School
On Monday 31st March '14 two Year 9 Dance Leaders, Gerda Fomina and Shakyra McDaniel,  attended the Borough Dance Showcase at Chingford Foundation School along with the Chapel End Infant School dancers. Gerda and Shakyra had spent a month prior to the Dance Showcase, teaching and choreographing a dance for the Chapel End children. The performance went really well, was received with a fantastic round of applause from the audience and enjoyed by all who took part. Well done to everyone involved - it was a great afternoon of entertainment.
