Funda Hassan

Overwhelmingly voted as teacher of the year by the students in 2013/14, Funda has a great rapport with all the students in the school. She is caring, empathetic and always available for the students to talk with her over a range of concerns, Funda also is a fantastic form tutor and puts on the school show each year with the performing arts department along with being a great interpreter for many students with her language skills. An all-rounder with a passion for young people succeeding in school

Virdah Dar (former student; Virdah left Rushcroft at the end of Year 11 in the summer of 2014)                

While at Rushcroft, Virdah promoted charity events across all year groups.  She was a peer mentor working with lower school students, had excellent attendance and consistently worked at a high standard in all subject areas. 

Latisha Osei               

Latisha has a huge involvement in extra-curricular activities with year 7 & 8.  She helped greatly with our Spanish exchange students and is also a peer mentor and a role model for her year group.

Amanda Kono                 

Amanda’s peers say she is a straight talking person who always helps and guides you.  She has always got her nose in a book because she loves to learn.  She is always singing and has a lovely voice.  Amanda makes you smile when you are feeling down.

Tangina Miah             

For contribution in form time.  She also demonstrates excellent learning habits and has the highest achievement points in her year.  Tangina helps other students with their home learning.

Ibtisam Hussain        

Ibtisam is a good learner and he is always willing to help others in school. He also does a lot of good things around school.

James Bonney            

James received the award for his commitment in lessons and contribution to school life and sport achievements.

Clarisse Afonso          

Clarisse was nominated for her caring and kind nature. She has 100% in her attendance.  Clarisse has hosted overseas visitors and represented her form on the school council. 

Armend Hoxha           

Armend shows care and concern for his peers and tries to ensure harmony in form.  He is reliable, kind and considerate.  Armend represents school in various sporting activities.

Jade Appleton Stringer           

Jade continually strives for academic excellence and volunteering to help others with personal issues or home learning.
