Art students excel at local exhibition

On Saturday/Sunday 16 students and 6 members of staff and parents attended the opening for the ‘we are the leaders we have been waiting for’ exhibition.

Gnome House exhibited a substantial range Rushcroft students’ portraits tackling hard issues surrounding violence against young people. The exhibition involved local and internationally acclaimed artists/filmmakers/ writers/performers and activists some of whom spoke in a debate on Sunday. Brilliant music from Lemzi and Mbilla

Stars of the show were Anushan who travelled there on his own some distance and Joe Parker who ‘networked’

Please see links below for press, there should be more coverage from Big Issue.  Also there is a link to Carlos Javier Ortiz’s award winning film shown with our students’ work as a backdrop.

It’s on until the end of June.
