The Baker Clause

The Baker Clause, part of the Technical and Further Education Act 2017, mandates that schools must allow colleges and training providers to reach out to students in years 8 to 13 to inform them about non-academic career pathways.
At South Chingford Foundation School, the details of this provision can be found in the Provider Access Policy - use this a hyper link for the Access Provider StatementProvider Access Policy

To summarise, all students at South Chingford Foundation School are given the chance to explore alternative career routes, including vocational qualifications and apprenticeships. These opportunities are introduced through various activities within careers form activities, trips, assemblies, drop-down and enrichment days, work experience and careers fairs.
